Все чаще государства привлекают для участия в вооруженных конфликтах частные военные и охранные компании (ЧВОК). Считается, что они являются более мобильными и эффективными по сравнению с регулярными национальными вооруженными силами. Однако правомерность деятельности таких компаний в зонах вооруженных конфликтов вызывает сомнения. В связи с чем, в статье рассматриваются некоторые законы США, ОАЭ, Великобритании, Германии, России, применимые к деятельности ЧВОК, а также исследуется вопрос о степени регулирования их деятельности в международном праве.
Increasingly states engage in armed confl icts private military and security companies. It is believed that they are more mobile and effective in comparison with the regular national armed forces. However, the legitimacy of the activities of such companies in the armed confl ict is doubtful. In this connection, the article discusses some of the laws of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, applicable to the activities of PMSCs, and explores the question of the degree of regulation in international law.
